    Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Facing the best as usual, A look at his past 5 opponents!

    Baldomir - Lineal WW Champion - 13lb weight advantage over Floyd, coming off a winning streak without a loss in over 8 years.

    De La Hoya - #1 ranked WBC LMW champion. Coming off a KO win over Mayorga at his proper weight. 20lb weight advantage over Floyd.

    Ricky Hatton - #1 ranked Lineal LWW champion, on the p4p list, undefeated.

    JM Marquez - #1 ranked Lineal LW champion, p4p2 (or p4p1 as most felt be beat Pacquaio) - coming off two KO wins over opponents who previously were never KO'd.

    Shane Mosley - #1 ranked WW Champion, p4p3. Coming off two brutal KO wins at 154 and 147 against the previous #1 WW.

    Next up:

    Manny Pacquaio!

      To be fair. It's hard to dispute these facts.

      HOWEVER, the way Floyd ducked prime Cotto for Hatton was slightly disgraceful... although I put as much blame on Cotto for that not happening.

      I really don't like the way Arum fighters don't stick up for themselves and call out the best.

      Anyway, good list.

              i think both cotto and hatton were kinda equal at that stage but hatton called floyd out,as we look at it now cotto is the better fighter but remember both hatton and cotto moved up in weight both had been rocked by lesser fighters.

              after hatton floyd should have fought cotto which well always come back to haunt him when taking a look at his legacy.

                  Which is laughable in itself. Sergio Martinez is a very good and exciting fighter that happens to be 35, but the guys that fight him don't get knocked for it. Miguel Angel Cotto is 29 (not even 30) and is past his prime, but that never gets brought up. Hmm.
