no upset for me
its just that montiel got massively underrated
if he didnt know he could win he woulda never go to japan it was his idea to have this fight
i guess a fight with vic vs donaire winner is next, but it would have to be at 118 cuz montiel cant make the superfly limit
anyway montiel deserves p4p recognition hes a 3 division champion and now a unified champion

Nope. Hasegawa is a P4P fighter with great skills. Montiel is also a P4P fighter.

a fight with donaire would be tough to call as well. hasegawa was fine technically, but he's a one-handed fighter.
donaire has power in both hands, has awesome timing on counters and is harder to hit than hozumi.

i'd hate to underrate montiel yet again...
stylistically, i think it'd be a pretty boring fight. i'd rather see montiel take on the perez/mares winner.

nah he was a good champ taking on all his mandatories and doing so in impressive fashion, but when 2 champions meet somethings gotta give
