also, why does every poster defending floyd have the spelling of a second grader? is there some correlation here, or is it just coincidence?

Learn about boxing first. And, then you can find out style makes fights.... That is why Floyd stayed away from Stevie Johnston...

simply not true.........floyd would tax everyone on his resume with ease.........would Morales, Barrera or JMM beat Floyd at 130 or 35......or even if floyd went down......i think not......their resumes are directly comparable IMHO.......

          Pac:

          - Morales
          - Barrera
          - JMM
          - Hatton
          - Cotto
          - ODLH
          - Clottey

          May:

          - Corrales
          - Hernandez
          - Castillo
          - Gatti
          - Judah
          - Baldomir
          - ODLH
          - Hatton
          - JMM
          - SSM

I fail to see any real differentiation points thatr make Pac's resume that much better than Floyds.....in reality SSm has a beter resume than both of them.

floyd cleaned out 130 and was undisputed the top dog there.......Pac cleaned it out except for one fighter and when the time came to find out who was the best......they didn't take that challenge.

well can you name an opponent great as mab floyd could have fought since there's no way he could have fought a mab at 126??

Then why didn't he say "I Am the Second Greatest?"

On less televised and coveraged media spots he might have said that, but on all the juiciest soundbites of his era, that assertion was no where to be found. It was just, "The Greatest"

Likewise, Floyd has given props to other fighters of other eras.. it just wasn't covered as well. Because people love to fixate on this one part of his persona.. He himself said in this interview "Money Mayweather" is a character only. A show.

If it makes you feel better, deep down he probably feels the same way Ali did about SRR, or.. feels that way about Ali. As a fighter it would be very difficult not to.
WTF are you talking about with Howerd Cossell and in plenty high profile interviews he said SRR was greater than him. Not once did he say that he was greater than SRR. When Ali was talking about being the greatest he meant as a HW not P4P... But, even as a HW he said Gene Tunney could beat him, I just found out about an interview when he said Rocky Marciano could of beaten him as well....

Foremna? Come on man he was the champ in the two best HW era of all time in the 70's and 90's

Hagler cleaned out the MW division, including wins over ATG but old Duran and a prime Hearns, beat the beast Mugabi when he was past his prime.

Frazier had the bad luck to fight in Ali and Foreman era but still had wins over Ali, Mathis, Bonavena, Foster.

What are you trying to argue here?
that this is all oppinion, you can make ali's opponents look like they were really great opponents just like a couple years from now people will do the same thing with floyd.ali has a god resume but do his opponents?at the end of the day it's oppinion and will always be oppininon
