Why did DLH change his stance?

I read somewhere that ODLH was originally a southpaw but changed his stance to orthodox early in his career, why is this?

I never knew that, but it some guys who use the jab like to make it stronger by fighting strong side forward. Maybe that is why. I really have no idea about his original stance.

They figure their left hook will be more effective and another orthodox fighter is more likely to be more cautious of the right hand of his oponent than the left hand which for a lefty would be where most of his power is at.

MAB is also a Lefty turned orthodox by the way.

smokin joe Frazier was also a lefty turned orthodox. he thought he could build up his strength more on his right side and be a more balanced fighter, but he always had more power in the left

OMG is tha why? did mayweather tell him 2 fite with his hand by his waist? Why would ne1 do that, it is seriously the ******est thing ever. DLH would be so much better if he would just **** mayweather off. I hope they have a massive falling out and then to get bak at him ODLH fights Mayweather jr at 147. That would be an awsome fight.

yea my trainer told me something about that, he couldnt look to well from one of his eyes and thats why he fought orthodox, im a righty and fight southpaw i do it cuz i just jab and move and im not a big power puncher just straight punches and get there faster with my right hand at southpaw stance

hehe not gonna happen according to DLH, Mayweather Sr. is like his best friend now.

Either way DLH is all business, no boxing these days. He wont be fighting till september. He is not gonna do anything great anymore he is done.

DLH adopted the shoulder roll from Floyd.

Toney and Evander also use it. The problem Oscar has is his right hand.

You need an effective right hand with that style, and Oscar's right is a liitle sub par.

By the same token, Oscar used to be a 1 hand fighter exclusively. Atleast Floyd has got him throwing both hands.
