He's fighting a bum(and I don't use this term as loosely as evrybody else).....think about it.......even if he's in shape and wins by KO1 everybody is gonna say ''so what,he beat a bum''.....considering the layoff, age factor, his weight problems in his prime and again the pathetic opponnet 248 is a good weight.
Nobody in their right mind would train hard for this guy.

thats because he had many points taken away for no reason. ruiz acted it out and got the dq win in the end. he thought he was going to lose.

        you opinion,

if I were his trainer, I would drill into his head how important it is that he get in shape and stay in shape and send a message. it couldn't hurt and would only help him long term

if he showed up at 235, people would take notice, showing up overweight makes it a "who gives a shi t, he'll always be a fatass" type message.

I think he is thinking long term. He's prolly just taking it a step at a time,he's already scheduled to have another fight soon after this one.

Makes no sense to be at 100% for this.Like I said even if he was in shape people would rightfully point to the opponent.
Considering everything it's virtually impossible for him to be at his best for this fight.

And anyway we're not gonna see Johnson ever hit 235 ever imo.

you're from up there (if memory serves me right), so you would know better than me, i just think dude has an image problem.

he will get no credit for the win either way- agreed

He had fast hands and was pretty powerful. Just another heavyweight who didn't dedicate himself properly I guess.
