This is a style matchup nightmare for Mayweather. For that reason I believe Williams will come out on top.

u think that style match up doesnt go both ways??see martinez fight. and lets put it this way, floyd is one level above martinez defensively and as far as counter punching.

i dnt get how ppl say matinez can beat pwill and then say mayweather would lose...they arent the same fighter, but everything martinez does, mayweather does a tad more effectively, except mebbe punch output.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather in a very difficult fight over 12 rounds. Brings the best out of him.

I thought it was possible for Paul to do really well in this matchup until I saw Martinez outbox him from the outside. I really think floyd could do the same besides martinez being bigger and Floyd has the skills on the inside to fight in the pocket in the later rounds. I would call Mayweather UD but like two other posters said This is purely a fantasy matchup.

Williams is a horrible matchup for floyd. His size and punch output would be hard to figure out. It's a tossup for me but I lean Floyd just because of his ability to adjust, point out a weakness, and take advantage of it.

It could go either way I tend to think Floyd would make Williams look bad but Paul is a big boy and he would make the fight difficult. Floyd would hit Williams with right hands at will but even with a reduced output Williams would outwork Floyd. To me Williams has to break Floyd down but he has to actually land to do that and even if he lands a bit it is hard to imagine someone making Floyd wilt like that considering how well trained he is along with how well he uses his energy.

It is an interesting fight, if Floyd continues to fight on aside from a rematch with Shane or Manny (and a possible rematch) what else is out there and beating Williams would shut up a lot of people (not to mention Williams does have some obvious flaws).

Paul Williams throws a lot of punches, but they tend to be slow punches. It seems like since his arms are so long it means his punches have to travel a greater distance and his opponents have a little more time to react. That is why he has trouble against opponents who are quick and more around a lot like Quintana and Martinez. He would have a great deal of trouble trying to land against Mayweather. Mayweather wins by UD, possibly by KO if Williams has trouble making weight. Williams wouldn't be able to beat Pacquiao at 147 either, he has too much speed for Williams.
