don't tell that to floyd and his fans...for them oscar earned his biggest purse fighting floyd. it's the floyd effect not oscar's

My opinion....if neither ever faced DLH...neither would be pulling in 1 mil PPV numbers until they meet each other.....

Floyd PROBABLY would've broken the 1 mil PPV buy against Hatton....and Pac more than likely against Cotto....

Which would setup the PPV record breaking fight between these two....

      What yall think?
      he definitely "passed the torch."

True and if you go back even further the guy who invented the tv is even more responsible...

yes that's true, I am guessing without the Golden Boy effect PBF would break the 1M buys with Mosley and I agree with TS that PAC could break the 1M buys with Cotto if not with PBF ...

                    Pac / Hatton = 825K buys
                    Pac / Cotto = 1.25mil buys
                    Pac / Clottey = 700K buys

                    Floyd / Hatton = 915K buys
                    Floyd / Marquez = 1mil buys
                    Floyd / Mosley = est. 2mil buys

Numbers are numbers....and the fact is they both benefitted from the "golden boy effect".....

if we go that route technically PAC-Hatton also broke the 1M ppV US+UK...

IMHO after those two mega fights, I mean with ODLH & Hatton back to back for both PBF & PAC, they become even bigger!
