I hope Paul wins and gets a big fight out of this, either with Sergio after the Pavlik rematch or with Manny, Shane, or Floyd.
I agree if the man can make 147 people need to stop bitchin about it

I don't care if he was 6'4'', if he's a skinny man and can easily make 147lbs. then he can fight as a WELTERWEIGHT.
Bet you he cant come down to 147. His body is filling up frame in the middleweight division, hes gonna starve himself to death to make 147.

And what contenders at 147 seriously think they have a chance against Williams? Or would rather get a title shot at one of the weaker holders, like Berto or Zaveck?

Plus Paul is in position for a big money fight, why risk that fighting some nobody for peanuts?

Paul Williams is an ideal boxer to watch. People don't get it, he challenges himself, after not getting the fights he desired at welterweight he moved up in weight for other opportunities. I've said it before, a fight between Paul Williams and Floyd Mayweather can easily be made, Al Haymon is each mans adviser, there would be no excuses, the communication would be swift. As far as him coming down to 147, I don't know if its possible, maybe he can meet the figter at a catchweight - I know a lot of people are worried about catchweights, but if it's for the sake of making the fight comfortable for both fighters, I'm all for it. Pound 4 Pound people, read the words.
