It is idiocy when you consider that GBP haD three closely-aligned fighters and Shane and Hopkins have been visibly close, including sharing a trainer. Hopkins was front and center with Shane in the ring last September. Hopkins has spoken on Shane's behalf repeatedly.


Al Haymon is merely an advisor, and "his fighters" are not necessarily close. Is Mayweather close with Berto? With Arreola?

So, if you look past your simplistic 'umbrella' theory and look at RELATIONSHIPS (you know, the thing that actually drives human interactions), then you would recognize the idiocy.
