Because of the devastating style in which Mosley beat Margarito, and the fact that he's now ranked the #1 Welterweight, most people give Mosley a better shot at beating Floyd than they have given any fighter since the first Castillo fight. That's why this is such a big fight. If Floyd fought Cotto now, it wouldn't sell as much as 700k. You talk about flawed logic and then show completely ridiculous logic of your own. Mosley is viewed completely differently now than he was viewed at the time he fought Cotto, and if you don't realise that, then you really don't follow boxing very closely.

Dude my experience/background would boggle your little mind and is totally unnecessary for me to put on showcase for a total light-wt like you. It's apparent that you know nothing about New York and the weekend of the Puerto Rican parade and the great cultural pride displayed that week cause if you did you would know why Cotto will pack Yankee Stadium. I don't only speak as a fan but as a participant which is all you need to know. Go do some research my dude for your own good before you attempt to talk boxing. It's in your best interest to read more than the BS rhetoric they release to hype up Pacquiao. Im in my 30's but I can talk boxing from any era you'd like when you get your weight up. I came up watching boxing on the Wide World of sports when I was a kid long before any of these dudes were on the scene so if your looking for a rookie discussion my advice to you is to find another site cause you aint quite ready for this one.

Now is it fair to compare Clottey to Mosley.. Who ever fighting Mosley will have the higher PPV #s......

Lets address what seems obvious.... Im not going to speculate what would happen if Money fought Clottey OR if Pac fought Mosley (pure speculation and not factual basis to back it up so we will leave that discussion alone)

You are stating that Pac is the true ppv top draw.... is that right? You want to compare events during a similar time frame right?

So my question is what kind of number would this weekend have to pull for you to say Mayweather is the bigger draw? 2X as much as Pac v Clottey (1.4 mill....), 3x as much (2.1 mill...).

Enough of the speculation.... Ive gone on record that if the fight does anywhere in the 2mil range.... Mayweather would once again by the numbers prove he is the bigger draw (that would give credit for all 700k buys from pac fans with an additional 1million buys credited to pac for lack of promotion from HBO and 24/7 (similar to the 1million buys from floyd v jmm)... Tell me your number or tell me where my logic is wrong.

If floyd solidifies his ppv status this weekend ..... negotiation advantage to Floyd and Pac will have a decision to make .... agree to split and testing..... or walk away and let history judge.

This is total bull****. The haters on this site and boxing writers are constantly making this ridiculous statement that people pay money to see people lose. People don't pay $60 to see a fighter get his ass whipped. They pay that to see a great fight between great fighters. People didn't pay $55 to see Clottey get his ass whipped by Pacquaio. They paid to see a competitive fight between good opponents. If people didn't think Clottey had a chance of beating Pacquaio, there would have been about 100,000 buys, not 700,000 buys. Only 150,000 people paid to watch Jones/Hopkins II. That was because both of them are past their prime and the fight wasn't worth the price of the ticket. If that fight had taken place after the first Jones/Tarver or after the Jones/Ruiz fight, it would have sold 500,000 on PPV.

People can watch it on the replay the following week or on youtube if they want to see a fighter get his ass whipped. No one, except the idiots on this site, apparently, would be ****** enough to waste $60 to see a man lose. I thought both Hatton and Cotto would kick Pacquaio's ass and I was looking forward to it, but I didn't buy the pay-per-views because I didn't care about either of the fighters and wasn't willing to spend my money to on the fight. You idiots need to stop with this nonsense.

Says it all Nothing against graphic designers/fashion photographers but guys like you exist for guys like me :-) See the difference is your an off and on fan but I'm a on and on fan and that makes a big difference.
