    - Cotto vs SSM = PPV
    - Cotto vs Margarito = PPB

    - SSM vs Margarito = NOT ON PPV

Enlighten us all with your flawed logic........
Because of the devastating style in which Mosley beat Margarito, and the fact that he's now ranked the #1 Welterweight, most people give Mosley a better shot at beating Floyd than they have given any fighter since the first Castillo fight. That's why this is such a big fight. If Floyd fought Cotto now, it wouldn't sell as much as 700k. You talk about flawed logic and then show completely ridiculous logic of your own. Mosley is viewed completely differently now than he was viewed at the time he fought Cotto, and if you don't realise that, then you really don't follow boxing very closely.

I don't only speak as a fan but as a participant which is all you need to know. Go do some research my dude for your own good before you attempt to talk boxing. It's in your best interest to read more than the BS rhetoric they release to hype up Pacquiao. Im in my 30's but I can talk boxing from any era you'd like when you get your weight up. I came up watching boxing on the Wide World of sports when I was a kid long before any of these dudes were on the scene so if your looking for a rookie discussion my advice to you is to find another site cause you aint quite ready for this one.
HAHA. ok buddy, im impressed. so with all this experience you got, WHAT DO YOU DO?????? boggle my little mind then... tell me, boxing insider, how are you involved in boxing??? as for me, im a fan of boxing (both floyd & pac), i dont need to justify how long ive been a fan... LOL, since when did being a fan of boxing require a prerequisite?? ive been a fan for 10 yrs (on & off)... do you want a gold star for most experienced boxing fan with your 30 years????? dude, relax. you can condescend to me all you want if it makes you feel better. you can claim to be the all-knowing yoda of boxing for all i care, it still doesnt hide the fact that you are just some dude writing on a forum. LOL. youre not special.... entertain me, my friend. posting on this site makes my work day a lot more interesting. ive never claimed to be an authority on boxing... BUT i do have my opinions. thats the whole point of a forum right? but show me how i am so wrong with my opinions?? look back at my posts, find something for me to take back... and you STILL havent proved me wrong with anything. all youve done is posture up with your "experience".

as for cotto & yankee stadium, common sense says that cotto/foreman will do great on puerto rican day parade. OF COURSE it will... thats like jmm on mexican independence day.... why the hell do you think arum set that date??? dude, im not arguing you on that... all i was saying is that cotto cant do floyd & pac numbers.... i even said that cotto/foreman BETTER do good on that date....ARE YOU GOING TO ARGUE THAT?????

you guys kill me, if claiming you know so much about boxing validates your existence then fine bro.... enjoy. im a graphic designer/fashion photographer.... boxing is an INTEREST... and i am a FAN. im not some nutjob claiming to know everything on a forum. LOL.

Lets address what seems obvious.... Im not going to speculate what would happen if Money fought Clottey OR if Pac fought Mosley (pure speculation and not factual basis to back it up so we will leave that discussion alone)

You are stating that Pac is the true ppv top draw.... is that right? You want to compare events during a similar time frame right?

So my question is what kind of number would this weekend have to pull for you to say Mayweather is the bigger draw? 2X as much as Pac v Clottey (1.4 mill....), 3x as much (2.1 mill...).

Enough of the speculation.... Ive gone on record that if the fight does anywhere in the 2mil range.... Mayweather would once again by the numbers prove he is the bigger draw (that would give credit for all 700k buys from pac fans with an additional 1million buys credited to pac for lack of promotion from HBO and 24/7 (similar to the 1million buys from floyd v jmm)... Tell me your number or tell me where my logic is wrong.

If floyd solidifies his ppv status this weekend ..... negotiation advantage to Floyd and Pac will have a decision to make .... agree to split and testing..... or walk away and let history judge.

People don't pay $60 to see a fighter get his ass whipped. They pay that to see a great fight between great fighters. People didn't pay $55 to see Clottey get his ass whipped by Pacquaio. They paid to see a competitive fight between good opponents. If people didn't think Clottey had a chance of beating Pacquaio, there would have been about 100,000 buys, not 700,000 buys. Only 150,000 people paid to watch Jones/Hopkins II. That was because both of them are past their prime and the fight wasn't worth the price of the ticket. If that fight had taken place after the first Jones/Tarver or after the Jones/Ruiz fight, it would have sold 500,000 on PPV.

People can watch it on the replay the following week or on youtube if they want to see a fighter get his ass whipped. No one, except the idiots on this site, apparently, would be ****** enough to waste $60 to see a man lose. I thought both Hatton and Cotto would kick Pacquaio's ass and I was looking forward to it, but I didn't buy the pay-per-views because I didn't care about either of the fighters and wasn't willing to spend my money to on the fight. You idiots need to stop with this nonsense.
good post. floyd & pac has been getting my money lately.

          • i DIDNT regret floyd/jmm, great undercard... main event left me wanting more. overall, good night.
          • i DID regret pac/clottey... joshua ruined EVERYTHING. HAHAH. also, im tired of bob arum's complete disregard for undercards.

Says it all Nothing against graphic designers/fashion photographers but guys like you exist for guys like me :-) See the difference is your an off and on fan but I'm a on and on fan and that makes a big difference. A nutjob is someone who can't respect someone else's opinion. I'm ready to leave our conversation alone are you? Cause anybody who thinks Mosley pursued Floyd until he got this fight there's no debating with. You just leave them be and let them figure out whether their coming or going. :-)

And If Pac was fighting Mosley right now.. Pac would also be getting this much hype..
i think pac/mosley would do pretty good. GBP would make sure it has a proper promotional push.

honestly, im not sure if it would do better than floyd/mosley though... the mayweather clan does a great job stirring up interest in a fight. manny & shane are too well-mannered... it would be a boring 24/7. LOL.
4 episodes of both of them smiling at each other and complimenting each other.... no thanks. but i always like watching the training montages.

                • Mayweather has better dance partners than Pac does. Plus, Mayweather talks people into watching his fights by talking smack

I hear it's this novel, innovative idea called, "promotion".

                    Crazy, I know.
