how can a boxer like vic ortiz and chris arreola be convinced that they need new trainers? how can you make a boxer realize that.

    Ortiz is OK.....

Maidana was just all wrong for him... in fact he is just wrong for a lot people.

Ortiz still young man but in the future maybe. Arreola? Well what can you do with this guy, he's hugely overweight for boxing and needs to get in shape but this is not down to the trainer. Arreola will not improve till that excess flab round his waist is gone..Reconize

ortiz' trainers are fine. i've seen marked improvement in technique and tact in his fights subsequent to the maidana fight.
granted, it was against lesser competition, but victor showed the ability to utilize good boxing technique and tactics.

if he can continue to box like that against the top competition, the sky's the limit for him since he is the most naturally talented 140 lber.
a patient boxer, with good handspeed, accurate punches and true KO power. c'mon now. kid will be ok. just kinda wish he stuck with the OTHER garcia brother, but who he has now knows what he's doing.

arreola OTOH is a lost cause. he doesnt have long before his punching bag gig is up. the guy isnt that talented and doesnt have the work ethic or discipline to be anything better.
with as many punches as he takes, he should think about cashing out soon.

i dont know... maybe the nipple can make it . ihave a little faith left in him.
only because he did hurt his hand and it looked like he was going to cry when it happened but he was being outboxed.
if he comes in at 240 for next fight im still on the wagon

I'm kinda disappointed in Victor Ortiz. He can and i believe he could be KING OF 140. Hes the wildcard that everyone swept away after his loss. I think he beats everyone in the 140 division. If he had heart that night or grew balls AFTER that night then 140 is in trouble.

Ortiz and Arreola have good trainers, Chris just needs more discipline and Ortiz fought a ****** fight but even then if he would've gutted it out he could've won
