    Will Floyd retire undefeated?

I am not talking about a little 2 year "stint".

I am talking about retired for GOOD... undefeated.

I don't think he will... I think the paydays will suck him back into the game long after he is past his best.

When he is 37, 38, 39.... and that 30 million dollar payday is on the table... I think he will take it.. and eventually lose.

The money will be his downfall.

No, I think he'll stay in the game long enough that we'll see him lose. Also, Pacquiao has a great chance in beating him.

Is this discussion intended strictly for those who are completely overlooking this saturday's fight and possible outcomes, a possible Pacquiao fight etc,.?

If his next fights consist of Pac, Khan, Ortiz, and Alvarez like I think then yes.

If he tries to fight Williams at 154 or Martinez at 160 then he loses.

No because of what you just said.

When that new up and coming kid looks unstoppable, They will keep throwing Floyds
name out there if he ever does "retire" and he will come back for that payday.

tbh I wouldn't care about retiring undefeated and coming back to make a ****load of money and then losing because your legacy is already secured.

Nope, you can include this saturday and Pacman... I believe Floyd beats both right now because he hasn't slid that far from his prime.

But in 5 years, I see him taking one fight too many for the money.

Almost all fighters take at least one fight too many. Floyd will too. He loves the glamour, the glory and the money to much.

Most boxers can't resist it.History shows that. Even Calzaghe at his age is considering a comeback. the money is too great and in a lot of ways you can't blame these fighters. As boxing fans it's easier for us to see the legacy side of because we aren't in their position. 20-30 million is financial security and no matter how rich these fighters get, they are always going to want to make money like anybody else. I agree with what you said 100 percent. Of course there have been exceptions but it's still rare for boxers to resist it until they physically can't do it anymore.

If Tyson can blow through 300 million, and have little left by the time he's 43.. believe me Floyd can blow through his money as well.

Does anyone see Floyd slowing down his lifestyle?

Or, not spending as much because he finally retired...?
