That said, I would've picked Shane Mosley a year ago and none of the recent events have changed my reasons. This is going to be an epic, epic bout.
i hope it does live up to the fight hype and that both fighters give their all and i am going with sugar shane mosely in this fight but i like the way mayweather tries to sell the fight with his on screen persona and the villian role playing he does is kinda funny sometimes too but i would love for this fight to break the pay per view mark and set up the winner with the pacman

Yeah that's true AHCH, we need fights like this to get the ball rolling. And it

looks hopeful with the younger prospects like DEVON ALEXANDER ETC. But

promoters are the ones that have the power they can kill boxing by not

grooming rising stars and throwing them away for quick paydays.I don't think

that MMA will ever dethrone boxing, as boxing is what everyone can identify

with. I mean I am sure all of us have owned some boxing gloves before. The

true test is that the MMA fighters are not coming to boxing in their prime

because their skills lack, while over the hill boxers are going to mma, as they

can't cut it anymore in the sport of the SWEET SCIENCE.

To be fair to MMA, it is MUCH more "interesting" to train for MMA than it is for boxing.

                Skill variety.

i doubt it after floyds last performance against marquez. i think the public are now aware that floyds bark is fiercer than his bite.

But if this fight does 2 million, is that a testament to Mayweather's commercial appeal?

                    Or to something else?

Seems that Richard is predicting that this will be among the "2 or 3 highest" PPV's of all time.

That would put it in the 1.8 to 2.1 million territory. We all know that promoters like Arum and Scahgefer say this stuff to generate interest and sales.

The number should be 1.5 to 1.7-ish. Which is still much more than Pac sold with Cotto.
