Aye, Ray was like 21 years old for that loss to Lamotta (who was like 16lbs heavier) Ray fought three times that month, one of those was a win against Lamotta (one of five) When was the last time Floyd fought three times in one month?
After the loss, Ray went on like a 93 fight undefeated streak.

A great insult mentioning Floyd in the same sentence as the great Robinson.

Yeah. I often wonder myself why SRR is rated higher than Finito, Marciano, Calzaghe, even JCC Jr. Hmmm.

Robinson's first loss came two and a half years after turning pro and it is arguable his resume up to that point is better than Floyds with or with out Shane on it and as a pro for 12 years. TS is just a moron who has no clue what he's talking about unless it attached right between Floyds legs.

Maybe we could ask the TS is he rates Calzaghe higher than Floyd?

if mayweather wins he ties the great julio cesar chavez jr at 41-0. mayweather vs chavez jr aka the greatest event in mankind history. can you imagine the marketing they could do for that superfight? if they were able to fool 1 million for the marquez fight my early prediction is 6 million. hell i just fooled myself im in!

                  Joe chalzaghe - 46-0
                  rocky marciano - 49-0
Julio Cesar Chavez - 90-0 one of the greatest mexican boxers ever, and in my opinion top 5 ATG
Any good boxer can get a long streak of wins against weak opposition, but what makes Mayweather's record impressive is he has remained unbeaten despite facing a lot of very good opponents.

Edwin Valero - 27 KO wins, but they were basically all against bums.

Rocky Marciano - Spent most of his career fighting bums, only started fighting real contenders near the end of his career and barely managed to beat some guys in their 40's who used to be good.

Joe Calzaghe - 46 wins, 2 of them current/former lineal champions and an additional 8 who current/former alphabet titlists (so he beat 10 champions total).

Julio Cesar Chavez - started off his career 89-0-1, but during that time he only defeated 2 current/former lineal champions and 7 current/former alphabet champions (9 champions total). Pernell Whitaker is probably the only Hall of Fame quality opponent Chavez fought during this run, he dominated Chavez but got badly robed by the judges and ended up with a draw.

Floyd Mayweather - only 40 wins so far, but (if my count is correct) that includes an incredible 8 current/former lineal champions and 6 current/former alphabet champions (14 champions total). There are very few boxers who have accomplished as much as Mayweather has without suffering any losses.
