His defence isn't as bad as it's made out but it's by no means a solid defence. If it wasn't for his iron jaw, he would have been dropped many more times.

I agree if he isn't chasing it, he isn't easy to hit. Long arm, some head movement and quite big.

However standing and not getting hit means nothing if you don't hit back

he's prone to getting caught with some big punches, but other than that he isn't too easy to hit. he's good at avoiding the jab. he rolls with a lot of punches that look like they hit him until you see it in slow motion. people who say his defense is his face probably haven't actually watched him other than some hbo highlights or an online stream.

it's surprising how much the average boxing fan goes by what they read on a forum or heard from a friend rather than actually judging for themselves. there isn't a man in the super six who doesn't deserve to be there.

C'mon i like Carl but he's a walking punching bag, with him i got to the point where i cheered everytime he ducked a punch. His defense is good enough to defend his **** an balls, which is smart considering the looks of girlfriend.

kessler was literally getting outboxed, the more i atch the fight the more you see kessler getting outjabbed.

FROCH hardly ate any shots, the shot on the bridge of his nose was more frochs poor ducking rather than kessler landing a shot.
