Being suspected of taking roids, avoiding drug testing, and ducking the best fighters like Mosley, Martinez, and Mayweather will take a hit to his legacy. People will always say he had a great career and a good resume, but he never beat Mayweather and the other guys who called him out. People always criticize Floyd for ducking certain fighters and people have been doing the same with Manny.

Stop with the whole awards bs because most of those awards weren't around back in the day and you didn't have all these ****** belts.

Beating a past prime Morales, was outboxed by JMM, Cotto was damaged goods when he fought Pac, Clottey is a B-level fighter, DLH was way past his prime and shot, Hatton was done after his fight with Floyd.

How many fighters has Manny fought in their prime? When was the last time Manny fought a fast slick fighter?

why? No one cared that Roy moved up to HW and beat the worst ****in HW champ in the history of the sport. Also no one cared that Armstrong moved up and tried to win the MW title against a guy he had already beaten at WW.
It does matter when you go around calling yourself the best fighter in the world and best p4p fighter in the world. If he's going to move up to 154 for a belt he should be fighting the best not cherry picking on the weakest champ at 154.

As far as fighting Marquez at 135, I totally agree. If Pac fights Marquez it should be at that weight. I would love to see it because it would give Pac another lineal/ring belt and erase any hate he got for facing David Diaz instead of the Campbell/Juan Diaz winner
He's not going to get any credit for beating JMM even if they fight at 135 because Manny is way better now and JMM is declining. Pac is in his prime and JMM is at the end of his career.

Also you claim he is a paper champ and he hasn't beaten the best guy in each division so please explain who was better at:

            112 when he beat Sasakul
            122 when he beat Lebwaba
            126 when he beat Barrerra
            130 when he beat Marquez
            140 when he beat Hatton
147 when he beat Cotto (one maybe two guys at most)

and when he beat Diaz, diaz was a top 5 if not top 3 LW
            1. Casa
            2. Campbell
            3. David Diaz
            4. Juan Diaz (due to losing to campbell)
Did they have all these alphabet belts back in the day? lol.

He lost to Marquez, beat MAB in his prime, Hatton was done after his fight with Floyd, and Cotto was destroyed by Margarito.

I was kinda leaning towards the marketability of both boxers. Nike seemed to have banked on the ATG of each sport while Reebok spent millions developing THE PUMP.

Skill test has yet to be proven..

he'll rematch mayweather win or lose... so that leaves it to mosley or margarito as his 3rd match... or 1st out of 3 fights

Pacquiao's legacy is about as tainted as mayweather's. None of you numskulls can change history as much as you like. For a couple of posters who thoroughly examine and discredit a fighter you supposedly hate, it almost seems like the entire boxing community is obsessed with him. I can say the same for the hate with mayweather's. Long live their legacies
