Floyd is clearly a more talented and skilled boxer than Shane

That is because the writers know nothing about boxing and will be shocked when Mayweather Jr. schools Mosley. Alot of writters don't know ****, though alot of writers for boxingscene do know their **** and do seem to like boxing alot. Mayweather Jr. 10-2 over Mosley.

We have seen physical talent outrank technical talent in the past though. Although I'm not favouring it to happen in this particular match-up it is possible Shane's size advantage and athleticism make Floyd very uncomfortable in there.

yeah im thinking about 8-4 for floyd at worst.

Stuck a few quid i won on kessler on a mayweather UD (has to be a UD, no other kind of decision) and didnt even get evens for it.

1.73 i think it was ie. bet 10 pound to make 7.13 profit.

Prime for prime at 135 I might have given Mosley a chance, but he doesnt throw enough combinations above 135 to have much of a chance of landing anything significant against a fighter as good defensively as Floyd. Floyd may look frustrated for the first couple rounds until he gets Shane down, but he dominates the rest of the night.

But from watching their fights it's abundantly clear that Floyd is more talented and technically skilled.

Even if Mosley were the same age as Floyd, the outcome would be the same - Floyd would win, although the scorecards would be somewhat closer.

My prediction: wide decision win for Mayweather, something like 118-110 or 119-109. Mosley has virtually NO chance of winning, mainly because he'll not be able to land many punches on Floyd.

His physical talent is obvious, but I think that many people are underestimating shane's technical ability.

Talent isn't going to be the deciding factor.

if they were both young, and at lightweight, the fight could have been huge, like ali frazier type, shane was pretty terrifying at lightweight, mayweather's resume at lightweight is also damn good. it would have been a 50-50 fight for sure.

although shane fought tougher welterweights by far, his age will be a factor. the only chance he has at winning would be by ko, there's no way he can outbox mayweather, he'd have to fight a perfect 7 rounds to avoid the possibility of a draw. mayweather never even been close to being ko'd, i dont see mosley landing enough on floyd to warrant a stoppage.

the only way the fight will not go 12 rounds will be the cause of DQ or someone getting cut.

that said, mayweather 12 round decision.
