I could not understand why so many picked Arreola .........

i wanted adamek to win, but in my eyes arreola was the favorite, for the simple reasoning of "how is adamek going to deal with the pressure?"

any LHW or CW i would have picked adamek, BUT his chin at HW is good, but not as great as it was... and i was curious to see how the impact of punches from a 250 pound guy would hold up for him...

he did great, and his speed was huge for him, that too was something i wasnt factoring in, considering at CW and LHW his speed was OK... i guess the HWs are just that much slower...

im happy with the results though...

I dont think Adamek was hurt that much tbh, plus i thought he could! get hurt but that his chin was good enough to weather the best of it and that Arreola is not a particular big one punch merchant.

Adamek was indeed hurt when Chris landed those right bombs, like I said earlier if only Chris could of put a string of solid punches instead of just looking for one eraser he could easily dropped Adamek. What Adamek did correctly the times he got nailed was by instinct fight back and was able to land 2-3 punch combos on Arreola to back him off and keep him and check, he also moved well and tied up when it was necessary, I was very impressed with Adamek, he looked pretty fast for a HW.

Yep. Toney-Peter 2 had a similarly one sided poll, people were picking Toney to win by UD, but Peter schooled him. Lacy-Calzaghe was probably that way too in favour of Lacy. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

I keep say Arreola is wack. The guy punches so slow and he telegraphs his punches. Foot speed is horrible and doesn't really cut off the ring just follows you.

I could not understand why so many picked Arreola, when that fight was made my initial reaction was that Adamek would win, however when i came on here i was shocked at how many people were picking Arreola, so much so that i started to question myself and think maybe im way off base here, here is was what i posted about the fight anyway.

I like Adamek because i think he will use his legs & speed to win a decision. Adamek has shown good speed and in and out Boxing lately, most notably against Golota,Estrada.

Im gonna say Adamek by decision, Arreola is not a huge puncher so i dont see him changing the fight with one punch it will be accumulation of punches that does it for him, however i think he will need Adamek to be a more stationary target to get off consistently, and the only way that is going to happen is if Adamek gets dragged into a war.

I went with Chris purely based on the weight difference.
And chris is a big ko artist, and I didn't think Adamek's chin would be strong.

Had they been the same weight I would have definitely picked adamek.
Dont get me wrong i dont blame anyone for picking Arreola but i was a bit shocked how lopsided opinion was for him to win
