Maybe he's just doing it for the cameras, like Floyd.

Oscar De La Hoya is not a black man.. Pac isn't either. Shane portrays himself as a nice guy, did he ever break into the mainstream like Floyd? Nope. ODLH has that face.. You're average american could squint a lil bit and imagine DLH is white... Pac, aside from his ferocity and excitement he brings to the ring, is an oddity in the states. We not used to asian boxers over here. So that got him notice.

Name a black fighter that has played the good guy that has even approached Floyd-like numbers. I'll wait.
Shane is not nearly as good as Floyd has been bro. The fact that black athletes are getting MAD money in sponsorships shows Floyd can do it too. He need to transcend the sport in EVERYTHING. The top 3 highest paid athletes in the world are BLACK. Those people are the best in their field(kkinda like Floyd). Guess what would happen if they have perosonalities like FMJ? They would probably lose their sponsorhsips by 95%.

The fact that Pac and Oscar did it means it can be done in boxing. The fact that Tiger, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James are one of the top 10 highest paid athletes means that your skin color does not have anything to do with it.

The fight game is different than golf or basketball. Lebron, Kobe, are part of franchises and they operate co dependently with other players. All they have to do is win, they need no mic skills. Golf is genteel. They crucified poor tiger for being unfaithful to his wife.

Boxing feeds off some baser instincts, by its very nature. People want to see a build up. They want to see beef. They want the hype to get them keyed up to watch the fight. Floyd gives them that, and they hate him and love him for it.

I see through the hype, see hustle for what it is, and just admire the boxing, when all is said and done. But trying to say the man is a shame to his race,? I would be willing to bet Floyd has given a hundred times more in charity to society than Naazim. A thousand times.

I agree with you that saying race is a bit much. But Floyd is a shame in some ways on how he conducts himself. FOr me at least.

on the same note: i feel saying that Richardson is a hypocrite is much too.

I didn't like or agree with his comments for a number of reasons. One, he's playing himself if he thinks team pac gives a damn about them and kissing up to them was just some lame **** for lack of better words. His comment that floyd is a disgrace to the race was some bull **** too. He's a disgrace to his race because he talks trash to promote a fight... get off your high horse brother ****m. The things I look at when accessing a man's character are whether or not he takes care of his family especially his kids, works hard at his craft, and whether or not he gives back to his community not what he says on a damn tv show. I would think ****m would have the wisdom and maturity to see that as well.
