There was one round when he shot a beautiful, thunderous right that sent Kessler flying.....but then proceeded to admire his work, rather than jump on Kessler.

ugh, kessler was pressuring and landing to the body like nothing had happened 2 seconds later..people see a pretty looking punch and assume the other fighter is hurt.....

He did recover well, and his legs did not visibly wobble, but I think he was hurt. Froch waited and took in the beauty of his punch, and Kessler fighting back was his way of not letting Froch know he was hurt. Honestly, that punch was thunderous, I can't see Kessler not being hurt from it.

yeah but as a tough fighter with confidence being one of his main strengths its probably better for him to write the loss off to any excuse he can think of other then kessler being the better man so he doesnt begin to doubt how good he really is. i

Kessler was in trouble in the 5th, not from the "knock-down" but from a punch before and after that, I thought a KO was a matter of time. Froch didn't sense it and didn't capitalise, Kessler came back like a warrior and the rest is history.

We probably won't see a rematch as AA will beat Froch. Still, great fight.

Also, the author is a wanker for this line: 'I'm not sure what Froch saw to make him believe Kessler was in trouble"

kessler has always shown a very good chin......he was closer to being koed by exhaustion(his own fault, lol, he had the fight in the bag and went crazy) in the last than he was by punches.....

Multiple punches were landed, the shot that took him down was a body shot.
In my opinion it was a KD, but this fight wasnt a wide margin as it should have been. I had it a dead draw with either man taking the win, but thats were hometown advantage kicks in.

Round 12 was AMAZING though. That was the best round in the Super 6, and best overall this year. What a war!
