I have a feeling that was one of the reasons Froch opted to move more than put the pressure on like normal.

whoever came up with the plan to assault the body with the str8 rite deserves credit......it was a very good tactic

Credit Montoya. He wanted bodyshots from the get-go. From the stands you could almost hear the thuds of those vicious straight rights. That was Kessler's moneypunch along with the reinvented left hook.

I think kessler knew how important body shots were because even he was hurt by them from pitter patter JC when JC went to the body.
Froch might have a decent enough chin, but his body is untested.

Credit to kesslers team, they really did their home work on Froch, Even I was scared watching those bodyshot land especially with the sound that was coming out. They knew froch had a granite chin and they knew he likes to come on late in fights so they destroy the body, they really deserve credit.

Yeah. The body shots and backing Froch up was the keys to victory. Froch isn't terribly effective going backwards.

I think that if a bodyshot hits in the right place it doesn't take a super-punch to make it hurt.

As far as Froch's body being untested well... It isn't any more. He took some great shots without wilting although I'm sure he was peeing blood on sunday.
