It doesn't matter if Froch doesn't sell out places, a contract is a contract. I agree with Froch that if Showtime backs out on the contract and agrees with AA. Froch has every reason to leave the tourney. Besides a Bute/Froch fight could happen probably then.

It's a huge double standard. Bute's level of competition in World Title fights is on par with my buddy Zsolt Erdei's LHW reign.

People make fun of Erdei and make him a punchline about Euro boxers but the guy has at least fought a few people who had a chance at beating him.

I mean he stepped up to Cruiserweight and became the lightest Cruiserweight Champ of all time and people used it as a reason to talk **** about him.

Bute, on the other hand, has been at least a 4-1 favorite in everyone of his world title fights. He hasn't fought anyone with even a decent chance at winning and basically only Andrade was a true SMW. Yet he has being propped up as a potential p4p superstar? Seriously?

I just don't get it, then again I normally don't understand the general NSB consensus about any fighter.

Potential is the right word, that's the point. He won't achieve that status unless he steps up and beats the Super 6 winner. Erdei spent five whole years as a so-called world champion, during which time he didn't fight a single fighter in The Ring's top 10. (And Andrade is still in The Ring's top 10, even now). If Bute spends the next five years fighting unranked fighters, he'll become a laughing stock as well. In the meantime, the comparison you made is ridiculous.
