It will basically eliminate guys coming into title fights so ****ing fat or musclebound(so-called "Super Heavyweights"). Go into a 15rd fight weighing anything over 250lbs and see if you make the final bell. Even the Klitschkos would have to comply and be prepared to maybe chase a fast cruiserweight or lightheavyweight moving up for 15 without gassing. It would result in fitter, lighter, and more physically normal champions an average fan can relate to.

Big tall muscled up Giants and strong fat men aren't new. They just couldn't be champions in boxing back in the day because the laws of physics doesnt allow it. Bring the division back to earth!

If they did Chad Dawson would be the Undisputed Heavyweight Champ.

The worst thing that could happen is a Super-Heavyweight division.
I agree, the problem is the whole point of heavyweights not really having a size/weight limit is that it's counteracted by them having to try to last with their stamina but the shorter a fight is the more the advantage goes to some huge guy. I.E. the hugest guys in the world would be unstoppable in a 1 round or 4 round fight but 15 rounds would put the pressure on them

Actually that's how Ali won over the big heavy handed heavyweight George Foreman. Ali won it with endurance and great stamina..

That's right. The shorter the fight the more it favors the less skilled. 15 rounds brings heavyweight back to the days of Ali!

Nah. I just don't like seeing size used as an advantage when it should be about skills and heart, same reason I don't like Paul Williams fighting at Welterweight.
