Mike Tyson is a disgrace Id never defend him..He may very well be the most overrated fighter of all time..Why would I brag about Tyson as an American athlete when I can brag about Michael Jordan, Roy Jones Jr, and Lance Armstrong,Comment

What's with this phoney division between America and Britain anyway...guys, you're the same damn white people, just living in different countries! Immigation aside, where do Americans come from? Britain! Americans are British dudes who crossed the ocean and then didn't wanna pay taxes to the King no more, simple as that.
And the American empire is not different from the British empire. The British empire wore out after WW2, the Americans picked up the slack.
America, Britain, Britain, America, it's the same damn thing, and that will be how history will judge it as well.Comment

Umm...England didn't "discover America".
And **** Germany was frighteningly close to completeing their heavy water experiments and creating an atomic bomb.
So yes, without American involvement you'd be ****ed.
And did I mention I was a certified history teacher with a Masters degree?Last edited by SonnyG8R; 06-13-2005, 12:07 PM.Comment

Are you talking to me, Santino? I'm not trying out my DeNiro impression, I just don't know if you're replying to my post or another one (I have to admit that I haven't read all the ramblings on here so I don't know for sure).Originally posted by SantinoUmm...England didn't "discover America".

You don't know that although the vast majority of cyclist do. Don't single lance out. The man is incredibly inspirational to so many and unquestionably one of the greatest athletes in the world.Originally posted by BombardierUh, Lance Armstrong definitely has a few "substances" in him, if you know what I mean.Comment

I don't support the other guy and his UK bashing either. but a lot of what has been written on this thread is either false or half truth.
And no offense my friend but your post #114 is incredibly oversimplified and not entirely accurate.
I don't want to fight about this though. I dig the UK.

Oh okay, sorry. As for the Armstrong thing, I was just giving a dumbass reply cause I thought he was being a bit too harsh to the other guy. I didn't really mean anything by it.Originally posted by SantinoNo. I was responding to eXig3.
