Adamek is a beast but he is really too small for HW
David Haye FEARS Tomasz Adamek

Neither. Speak for yourself.
Already done so 4 times, and that's more than enough for me. Horrendously boring and tentative fight, obviously exacerbated by the size mismatch. It was never going to be an action-packed fight no matter what was said beforehand.
And just in case anyone bothers to mention Barrett - yes, he brought a fight to Valuev back in the day but he had absolutely nothing to lose. Nothing whatsoever. Haye needed to be careful, had to nurse the dodgy hand and not get caught by the big man. Simple and effective gameplan.
Haye threw a low number of punches, but at least he connected with something - gloves, elbows, body, anything. Valuev didn't land ****. All he did was come forward jabbing, but barely anything was touching.
How in the blue hell can a guy clearly win by points when he hardly connects with anything? Effective aggression can only be counted if you're landing something on the way in. Haye was running, but at least he got his shots in as he ran. Not many, but they're the ones that counted.
And no, Jim Watt's scorecard should never be held as gospel. He's a sweaty sock jock piece of **** and nobody with a brain pays any attention to what he says.
When looking at the Valuev and Ruiz fights, the difference in overall mobility and handspeed was profound. Whilst he didn't throw much against Valuev, at all times he looked very sharp and unhindered at 217. Fast-forward to Ruiz, and if one looks beyond the first-round action, he's suddenly looking almost laboured and sluggish at the newfound 222. Just too bulky. I think he'd be better off staying at 215-ish and combining better mobility with the natural power which will always be there.
As Adamek showed last night, there's no shame in being a smaller HW.Comment

Fuck David Haye. I'd love to see Adamek get a shot at him. Haye would do that before a Wlad or Vitali fight.Comment

I don't imagine Haye could KO Adamek if Haye himself gets KO'd first...
Interesting how it's the exact same for Adamek and Haye. At 217 Tomasz looked much more fluid and faster than at 222 vs Estrada. That seems to be their cap, 215/216ish is the ideal weight for both i imagine.Comment
