You know what? I really disagree with that. Ruiz has fought everyone at HW and been hurt by only two guys across his whole career and even then only one of them genuinely knocked him out. Ruiz has and will always have a better chin than Adamek.

Have people already forgotten the Dawson and Briggs fights?

Just for the record - at no point did I state that Haye ducked Adamek. By saying he "conveniently snuck out of the CW division", it was meant as a broad and sweeping statement illustrating Haye's lack of genuine credentials at that weight class.

After all, he never even stayed behind to defend his undisputed crown. He beat guys to acquire those titles, sure, but there were a good few others against whom he could've proved his dominance and departed to HW in style. Instead, he chose to drop the titles and fight Barrett.

        Boo, says I.

Yes. Not only will Haye never fight Adamek, he'll not fight the dangerous Arreola either.

But how much credit would he get for fighting the leftovers of Vitali and Adamek? Not much, I would imagine. Regardless of his brave efforts, Arreola's stock is rapidly declining and if Haye were to fight him next it would be like a dreary consolation prize compared to the 3 main threats in the division - the brothers and Adamek.

Truth be told, there really is only 3 guys left for him to fight. Anyone else just doesn't cut it. He needs to be fighting fresh and dangerous winners.

He went up to earn some real money..

                Much like Adamek is lol

Crusier is a weak division and Haye was barely known before he made the leap to HW in the UK

He just said they have similar power, which is probably true.

I was making the comparison to Adamek being willing to fight anyone including Arreola, while Haye tends to talk a lot while cherry picking opponents. Haye turned down Tony Thompson, Eddie Chambers and Kevin Johnson and instead chose Monte Barrett in the fall of 2008.

Many people including myself thought Arreola was one of the most dangerous possible opponents for Adamek, an older boxer like Fres Oquendo would have been easier. Povetkin and Tua for example are only fighting opponents they're sure they can beat.

And Arreola is a warrior who takes on all comers too, he fought Vitali instead of cherry-picking his way to a paper title by fighting the ponderous Valuev.

True, but it puts a downer on what he had - and could've - achieved at CW. To unify a set of titles and never defend them, even though there's bigger money out there, reeks of not giving a damn. And whilst the latter mentality may be beneficial to one's career advancement, it doesn't give them a good standing later on when people look back and decide as to whether they were a good champion or not.

Haye has fast-tracked himself at HW and created an illusion that he's worked hard to get to the top echelon of the rankings, when all he's done is beat 4 utterly second-rate opponents.
