theres a difference between throwing a punch and throwing a good punch. As the guy said ANYONE can throw a punch, some people are blessed with natural talent and can throw a good punch without learning about punching techniques buts most people learn how to throw a good punch by learning.

Example being Bruce Lee. I'm preety sure that it took many months of practice before he was able to throw the one-inch punch. So to answer the original question - go to a gym and learn the art of throwing a good punch.

I see you have had a number of negative responses from this post. Im surprised if ur even looking at the post after being disheartened by the response you got but here goes. Here is a guide to throwing the basic jab. Its really simple.
-Plant your left foot shoulder width apart from your right foot. With the left foot out in front. Also stand kinda diagonally so that one foot is behind the other and the opponent cannot see much more than ur left arm and a bit of ur stomach.
-Put your right hand next to your chin but not touching your chin. With the left put this next to your cheek bone (so a little higher up than where the left is on the opposite side of your face).
-Now all u need to do is throw the left hand outwards. It should start as though the palm of the hand is facing towards your face. Then as it touches the target it should have swivveled enough so that the palm of the hand is facing downwards towards the floor.
-Once you have this basic structure of the "jab" introduce some footwork to the mix. this would involve moving your front foot forwards as you throw the punch and also slightly bending your knees throughout the whole jab.

**AVOID LEANING YOUR BODY WEIGHT FORWARD OR BACKSWARDS**
**STAY STABLE SO THAT ANY COUNTERPUNCH WILL NOT KNOCK U DOWN BASICALLY**

If u still dont understand pm me and ill hook you up with a website that explains it. If u do understand, work on it and practice it everyday. Ull get it pretty quick. And definetly join a gym if u find that u enjoy the sport and want to learn more. that is if u havent previously
