The thing is Floyd hasn't been on the short end of any wars but Shane has. Floyd is like me, very well preserved (I'm 35 but get 25 all the time :-). Some look at his time off as retirement but I look at it as much needed rest. Shane is getting a well preserved, well rested beast. I wish I could sit right next to you and look at your face while it's going down.

I don't buy this at all. Mosely went to war with almost the best Cotto I have seen for the full 12 and was the agressor in the last rounds, unhurt and unphased.

Everyone knows Floyd punches like a girl. I mean he couldn't even stop Marquez (and no I don't want to hear it was a 'tune up' or a 'sparring session' - if you are in a boxing match and you can stop it: you do).

Pacquiao could`nt stop Oscar Larios who moved up 2 weight classes ,does that mean Pacquiao hit like a girl?

What Ellerbe says is right. Sugar Cane Mosley will not go the 12 rounds but not because Floyd will knock him out. Mayweather will batter and bruise Mosley and close both eyes so he can't see and then the fight will be stopped. ala Ali/Frazier 3. Mayweather's sharp and accurate punches will do the trick and I say in about the 9th or 10th round the fight will be stopped. Remember, you read it here first.

i have to admit i have wanted to see mayweather get beat for a few years now. however, after watching him this saturday, despite his big mouth i have nothing but respect for him as a fighter. he is clearly the best. his skills are above and beyond anyone elses, let alone how athletic he is. the only fighters who honestly posed a threat at beating him were JLC, zab judah--he did win the first 5/6 rounds against mayweather until he tired and went a.d.d as well as oscar de la hoya. de la hoya is a 35 year old fighter who gets busy only one a year for the last 3 years. shane is still great but is too seasoned as well. 4 years ago shane or oscar probably would have beat him but as today there is no one out there that can handle him.


Side note: Zab didn't win the first 5/6 rounds. he won 2 of the first 4 rounds. TWO.

I just got finished watching Shanes Greatest hits, and can't see him winning this fight. I watch floyd's as well and its not gonna be tough but Shane pulling the upset isn't too far fetched but he has very little chance in my opinion. What makes you say Shane will win?
