The best way to determine how slick a fighter is? See how fast Manny Pacquiao avoids him.

Is about not getting hit... Believe it or not Pac TRIES not to get hit, He has improved his defense tremendously, he tries to block shots with his gloves, he uses great head movement, and uses his foot speed and his in and out ability trying to not to get hit. Just cuz he TRIES not to get hit doesn't make Pac slick. In order to be slick you have to avoid punches, minimize getting hit clean...

What I'm saying is that as long as you move and slip punches, like Malignaggi does, getting hit now and again doesn't preclude you from being slick.

Floyd is slick, you can barely touch dude. It is hard to him clean...

Like Earl Mentioned Dirrell is pretty slick...

I think Dawson is pretty slick...

I think Moreno is pretty slick as welll...

Calderon is slippin, he is slowing down a lot for the majority of the decade he was pretty slick...

Same thing with Guzman as Calderon...

I think Alexander has the slickness in him. I just don't think he is ready for the elite just yet... And, when he develops to his potential I think he will be a pretty slick fighter...

Bradley can be slick, he is just overall good, the man can outbrawl, out hustle you, outbox, out fight you, out will you. With Bradley it depends on the style of his opponent. Because, he will defensive when he has too and be pretty slick. But, with another opponent he would be very aggressive and get hit. But, he would do whatever to get the job done...

To me, James Toney is the epitome of a slick fighter. Everything James Toney is is slick. Quick, good reflexes, skilled counterpunching, solid defense, good footspeed...a bit of showmanship is good too.

But, Malignaggi is not the type to get hit here and there. He gets hit... He would get hit as much as Pacquiao... He just gets hit too much... He got hit against Herman Ngoudjo, and against Lovemoe Ndou in the rematch pretty often, Cotto battered his face(even though Malignaggi showed his toughness and fought well) his face told the story, even Hatton was landing pretty good shots on him... Pac in two rounds avoided more shots against Hatton then Malignaggi did in any round...

You have to be able to dictate the pace and control distance. Be successful at setting up punches. Take Joel Casamayor, B-Hop and Mayweather for example, all masters at dictating the pace and making their opponents come to them.

just to add to those already mentioned, id say andre ward has some slickness about him. he has some lapses though. dirrell does too.
