How can anyone say this is more promoted than the Oscar fight, I havent heard anyone who doesnt follow boxing closely talk about this fight, with the Oscar fight, everybody and their mama was talking about it.

Yeh I had friends who aren't even into boxing talking about the oscar/floyd fight and I live in Australia where boxing isn't as mainstream. But no talk about the mosley/floyd fight over here.

Yea no mainstream media at all, so unless you follow boxing you will probably be clueless about the fight...

I personally think that is the problem with boxing and the reason why it isnt that big anymore

even for the Pac/clottey fight I saw plenty on espn and Pac was on FNF and all.
I leave ESPN on all day at work and i stop whenever I even hear a mention of boxing but this fight has practically no buzz. Besides 24/7 i dont really know of any real mention of this fight anywhere else.
I had a party for the pac/clottey fight and my friends who dont follow the sport were calling ME asking if the party was still on because they wanted to see it. This time around I've been inviting people and it seems like most of them just arent really into it. its crazy.

I still think the fight will do 1-1.25 million buys but i would not be suprised if it slows down closer to 900K.

My Prediction is anywhere from 1.5 - 2 million it wnt beat Oscar-Floyd no way

I HATE to make this a racial issue BUT the truth is you usually get higher numbers when you have two fighters from different racial/ethnic backgrounds....

I totally agree. When Floyd fought DLH, we had a huge American draw going against the biggest draw in history, the mexican DLH. So all the americans and mainly the mexicans bought the PPV

I agree with Pac/Clottey being all over ESPN and May/Mosley getting almost no coverage. But i think it will break the 1.5 mil because May/Marquez was a big suprise at 1 mil and Marquez is not as big as Mosley

Mexicans don't like DLH. I remember one of my Mexican friends in high school telling me that "De La Hoya represents America too much".

                    You gotta love the Mexicans.

I don't care about the buys. I hope we get a good fight.
