Why Do People Think FMJ/Mosley is Going to do Huge Buys?

I mean yes, technically anything over 1 million or so is "huge" but why do people think this will break records and do 3 million buys? I for one have never even for a second suspected that this would generate any more than 1.2 or maybe 1.5 at the very most.
Yes Floyd is the top current PPV earner but at the same time he needs a big name alongside him to earn that much and Shane has simply never been the hugest earner for various reasons (reasons such as, he's shy and quiet which doesn't market himself well, he doesn't have a whole country behind him like Pacquiao, etc).

So the point is, I'm sure this will do at least 1 million buys, but honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if it did 800k though I'm personally expecting 1.2 to 1.5mil at the very most.

No way in hell this does 3 mill or even close to 2 million or over.

Personally I think this more hyped then the Oscar-Floyd fight. This will do some sick numbers.

Yea i think so too but De La Hoya is the biggest attraction in history so combine him with Floyd and you have huge numbers. But in Mosley hes not as big but is still big

Since he did 1 million with Marquez, i think Shane will give it around 2 mil

When you hear garbage like this, all it means is that its coming out of the Mayweather camp and it was Mayweathers advisor that said its and easy 3 mil

you haven't been on these boards much then have you? I've heard multiple people speculating in the 3 mill range over the past few months. Yet the tickets to the fight aren't even sold out and it's a week away

My prediction is 1.5 million buys. I will not be one of them.

The only problem I see, with the fight beeing just 8 days out is lack of espn coverage. I remember espn covering FMJ/DLH constantly. Everthing thing else promoting wise is good though.

You just said it wont do close to 2 million when 1.5 is close as hell to 2 mil, this fight will do numbers, because Shane is live and Floyd is the guy!
