Why pay an organization to be restricted by them only to get stripped when you don't face their politically appointed top contender? Please, Floyd already was the undisputed Welter-wt Champion. If this was the middle-wt belt it would make more sense.

People need to realize maybe next to horse racing, boxing is the second biggest Elitist sport... Im not saying it grosses the most money by any means ...... In boxing just like in horse racing it"s 50% skill , 25 % showmanship and 25% pageantry.... Boxing is a poor mans sport... Nevertheless it's a rich men past time... Harping back to the days of the Roman Empire elite and Gladiators... Everybody is in the sport to make money.... Floyd knows this.... The ppl who pay to sent ring side... Don't give a s#it what abc belt your fighting for.... At this level they only wanna see you do that dance, they paid you to do ...... People are on here saying Floyds killing boxing how ??? Doing something that's been around from the first day of boxing , trying to get paid.... Boxing will always be money first... So why is it wrong??? That he is doing what a lot boxers should have done... Say im risking my life, so fck you pay me.....
Floyd has learned from the greats of the past and is handling his business which is most important. Far too many gave us thrills and have nothing but memories to show for it. The ultimate lesson he learned against Oscar. Boxing is big business. Especially at this level.Comment

The bottom line is Floyd 'cannot afford' to pay the sanctioning fee. The guy is in major debt and don't believe he is not. He owes Golden Boy Promotions alot of money for covering his back taxes alone. After he retired, he still lived like a playboy and the next thing you know, he is flat broke. If he beats Mosley, he has nowhere to go to get a big payday. This is it and he needs to keep every cent he can...Comment

Go read a book or something dude and stop spreading BS. The man is slated to make 40 million for this fight and made 30 million in his last fight. The old IRS bs was paid out of his last purse so stop trying to spread BS.The bottom line is Floyd 'cannot afford' to pay the sanctioning fee. The guy is in major debt and don't believe he is not. Miguel Cotto has an acquired taste for VACANT BELTS! Dont be shocked to see him scoop it in a rematch with Jennings.Comment

^^ thas the truth right there.who cares about the WBA title...lol..only up and comers fight for belts. Really they dont want the belt because then they have to pay sanctioning fee's and have mandatory title defenses. Floyd has already won the WBC belt in 5 different weight classes. In 50 years nobody will care if they fought for the WBA title, people will only care about who won.

Becuz how dare he stand up to the BS that continues in the sport. U must pay sanctioning fees, ignore opponents navigating their way around rules in order to gain unfair advantages, and take a few dozens unnecessary blows to the head for the crowds pleasure. The nerve of that guy. Who the *** does he think he is.Don't put too much stock in what Floyd's doing. In his mind he's the biggest draw at the moment (which he probably is) and all of this is going to his head. He's the only one doing this nonsense. All it takes is one defeat and his views will change. I'm a Floyd fan but he's getting way too ****y and needs to be knocked down a few notches. I hope Shane does it next week.
