When did I say floyd wasn't a hard worker??? I will always believe he missed weight against JMM on purpose. That is unprofessional In his fake retirement I'm sure he was still working out. I wonder how he put on his size?? Hmmmmmm...

b/c hes not going to drain himself to make weight. has nothing to do with how hard of a worker he is.
im sure he tried to get downto 144 but was too dried up, i cant remember what day it was on the presser but everyone was commenting on how dried up floyd looked. pretty sure he determined that 144 for too low for him
also remember, floyd always said this was a WW fight so meaning anything up to the limit of 147.

18 month layoff...........once the body adjusts to a higher weight and you are not moving down consistently it becomes harder to get down.
Besides reports were that he was actually frantically trying to make 144....he just couldn't do it.
I can guarantee you he is having less trouble getting down for this fight with SSM because he wouldn't have got as heavy as he did btw this one and JMM than when he was layed off.
The body has memory......any fighter in the lower classes will struggle to make weight if they have a long layoff.......if you are repetitively making weight and are more active it is easier.Comment

so for you it still fair to fight jmm in a lower weight? we are not talking if he violate the contract. ALL I WANNA KNOW IS IF YOU THINK IF HE FOUGHT FAIR AGAINST JMM.b/c hes not going to drain himself to make weight. has nothing to do with how hard of a worker he is.

if JMM felt is was unfair he would have canceled the fight.
it would be different if floyd was using his size and body to bully JMM around the ring. floyd didnt clinch him once.
yes it was a fair fight, floyd would outclass JMM at anyweight.
was it a fair fight with manny fighting clottey and clottey out weighing him? stop your contradiction before you go any further
skills win fights, not sizeComment

That's nothing compared to Baldomir weighted 162 pounds on fight night when he fought Floyd. Judah had an advantage over Floyd in their fights, Floyd came in at 146, while Judah came in at 150. Castillo has outweighed Floyd by 9 pounds in two of their fights. It happens, but the way some people reacted by how Floyd was 2-3 pounds heavier was asinine. It's not like he outweighed him like Baldomir did to Floyd.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 04-23-2010, 01:15 AM.Comment
