Too bad he isn't in the Super Six. He may have to wait a while to fight those guys so we may see him beat up on pretenders until he can get a fight against a Super Sixer.

The guy has skills, I think he could handle the way Ward and Dirrell fight better than anyone in the tourney right now.

He's fought tough guys like Andrade, Bika, and Miranda, but hasn't faced the cream of the crop. Maybe all of the Super Six fighters are better than anyone Bute has faced. Not to mention he's fought almost entirely in Montreal his adopted home town (we all remember Andrade 1).

I don't want to take anything away from him. He's a very good fighter and he has impressed me a lot in his last two fights. But I don't think we have seen him in with a true elite fighter yet. We have a lot still to learn about Bute.

i agree he has been impressive in his last 2 fights but he hasnt proven how he is going to handle a guy who will be there for all 12 rounds coming at him. what happens if he fights a guy like froch dominates for 10 rounds and carl is still there coming forward and throwing hard punches? the first andrade fight has brought up a lot of questions and until he is in that type of situation again we wont know how good he really is.

yeah I think people are getting a little bit a head of themselves, I agree he is a fantastic fighter but he has some more to prove before we crown him as the best SMW.

yeah HBO thinks they found a home in Montreal they better get Jean Pascal ready cause Lucian will loose eventually, they hype this guy up for putting Andrade and Miranda down. His best win is against Bika IMO.
