Chris Eubank
Sakio Bika
Jeff Lacy
Mikkel Kessler
Bernard Hopkins (near prime, dominated Pavlik after this)
Froch beat...
Jean Pascal
Jermain Taylor
Andre Dirrell
Mikkel Kessler
So Froch's getting close but factor in 20 odd title defenses for Calzaghe and a ten year reign including a load of other good wins against the likes of Ritchie Woodhall, Charles Brewer, Mario Veit, Roy Jones, Omar Sheikah, Byron Mitchell and a closer to prime Robin Reid than Froch fought...and Froch's still got a lot of work to do.
The fact that the poll is so damn close is really disconcerting. Really is. No he does not have a better Resume if he beats Kessler.
But people forget that Calzaghe beat Kessler when he was in his prime and full of confidence about staying undefeated! This version of Kessler must be better then the version Calzaghe fought! Lets overrate Carl Froch's win this saturday against this version of Kessler! Lets also give Carl Froch a whole lot of credit for beating a shot Robin Reid!
Pascal was a good win, so too was Taylor. Win over Dirrell wasn't really that great and if he does beat Kessler, he beats a Kessler that wasn't even half the fighter that Calzaghe fought.
i dont think thats fair really. theres the possibility that Kessler does come out well and looks good but froch ends up taking it. just because froch may beat him doesnt mean Kessler is half the fighter he was. lets wait until saturday night.
