I see Vanes taking this one, style wise I just like his better and since the moment Martinez beat Pavlik I made the choice to never let myself give into the name and face but ONLY the skills of the men, I picked Pavlik for all the wrong reasons because in my heart of hearts I KNEW Sergio had more skills, it was his fight to lose because based on skills he had it in the bag already, he had skills enough to donate some to Pavlik and I knew this but I gave in to my genuine liking for Pavlik, I admire that man for his humility even after the fight, he is all class and Sergio too I was on some "I got Pavlik and that's it" type of **** and that is not how a proper fight prediction is made..

don't get me wrong I did believe in his power but in my heart of hearts I just knew Martinez would take it being that he is the more skilled man, I refuse to make same mistake in this instance, Matirosyan and Greene are 2 solid fghters but based on what I saw from both Vanes has the more skills so it's his fight to lose, he'll lose if comes in bad shape or he isn't prepared correctly or even gets taggen the wrong way but if it's a matter of skill against skill Vanes takes it, I'm willing to bet on this if anyone is interested..

Interesting match-up, this card is getting good. It seems like Vanes will fight anyone.

vanes was more skilled than kassim ouma and still got his ass handed to him.

ouma= come forward, volume punching southpaw.
greene= come forward, volume punching southpaw...with more power

First off the dont even try to compare Joe Greene to Kassim Ouma (former champ) Ouma is a veteran and very crafty and Greene isnt any of those. Even with his veteran craft Ouma still lost the fight by 95-94 IMO... I met harrold ledderman and he agreed that Vanes won that fight too... lets move on....
Vanes learned a valuable lesson that night and thats what boxing is. Everyone has a bad night, a night that is more beneficial to a long and successful career than any 1 round ko win. Im sure Vanes learned from that fight and will come in fully prepared for the style. Early KO by Vanes. I saw some kid with 17-4 (4 ko) drop Joe greene (no chin). Greene better not come forward otherwise he will be sitting on his ass and face alot.

very good fight. i suspect greene will give vanes alot of trouble if he hasnt learned his lessons from the ouma fight.

Vanes is the man, he doesnt care who he fights, he just fights. Its good stuff. I think Greene has got a great chance of KOing Martirosyan.

Idk, Antwone Smith vs. Mike Jones might have been the better fight between 2 solid prospects. This fight figures to be pretty good, but I don't see the winner going further than the winner of Smith-Jones.

I want to watch an entertaining, competitive fight between 2 good fighters. Neither of these 2 are hard to find, hopefully they put on a show.

Top Rank must've not liked what they saw in Vaens' last fight and Greene is a free agent. This is sink or swim for both of them.

Does Greene come in with his head? Because it seemed like the main thing besides punch output that caused Vanes problems with Ouma was a cut caused by multiple headbutts.

Otherwise, if he's a pure pressure fighter, there's always the risk that at any point he walks into a straight right hand and gets KO'ed.
