Only HBO would chose to push a guy who lost to Paul Williams instead of Paul Williams himself. Paul beat Margarito, HBO lets Cotto duck the winner, who he was supposed to fight, and lets Margo fight Kermit get a paper title and have the Cotto fight. Margo still gets HBO promotion P-Will gets blackballed.
P-Will is supposed to fight Pavlik, Pavlik runs for a year, 2 weeks out from the fight P-Will fight Sergio Martinez instead, and wins a close fight but HBO choses to put money up for a Martinez/Pavlik fight and again leaves P-Will looking at from the outside, while they put all their resources into getting a Pavlik-Bute fight and making Martinez the crown ***el of the MW division.
It is ****ing pathetic. One day I hope P-Will gets the fights and recognition he deserves.Comment

Good shiet from Martinez! Personally I'd like to watch him fight Paul Williams first.. that was a good fight that should have gone his way... Margarito might still be too tough even at 154... Plus Margo is coming back with a vengeance!!Comment

Look, if Martinez fights a rematch with Pavlik first and wins (which if Pavlik goes after the body from the start, it could be a whole different outcome) and then fights Margo, and/or the winner of P-Will vs. Cintron, those are all great fights, against some of the best in these divisions (jr middle and middleweight).Comment

Cotto did not hurt Margarito once in their fight. Sure he looked good
throwing them power shots and combinations but truth be told that,
if Cotto would have taken anything from Margarito, then you would
have seen it during the fight. Cotto gave it his all to keep Margarito
off of him and all Margarito did after Cotto gave and tried his best,
was jog towards Miguel smiling. I know some like to give Cotto props
by saying he took something away from Margarito to give Shane
the upper hand but that is false. Cotto was/is a pressure fighter
with good power and once you take Miguel Cotto's power away
and his pressure then he is there for the taking. Same with Margarito
and that's why Shane beat Margarito because he stopped his
momentum and pressure. Two pressure fighters were in the ring
that night and the toughest one won. I think Margarito studied
the Cotto tapes but Miguel didn't study Margarito's tapes because
he fought a totally different fight then he should of. Cotto didn't
even get a body shot off, which was/is supposed to be his best

Both Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito were/are Top Rank
fighters. I think if PWill beats Cintron and dethrowns Martinez,
HBO won't be able to front on him anymore. Being good is not
even half the battle in the corporate world. You have to have
good business people on your team and strategies. I'm sure
Paul Williams will get his just due. Anyways, Paul has had
his opportunities, more than Martinez if you ask me. I think
Pavlik thought by fighting Martinez, then he would not need
to fight Paul to avoid him even more by trying to dominate
a guy that gave Paul problems but his/their plan back fired.
I like the fact that Martinez is not ducking anybody.Comment
