Martinez has a lot of options. I would enjoy a fight with either Pavlik Paul or Margacheato
10 years is a long time. Martinez surely isn't the same guy margacheato fought 10 years ago.

I could care less to ever see Marg in the ring again, but Sergio wants to prove a point so let him beat that bum up!

Hope they make the fight. Martinez has fought nothing but tough opponents of late and he deserves to call the shots for once. Besides, Margarito, even older, rusty and fighting at a higher weight than normal, is a far better opponent than the guys the other middleweight "champions" from Germany are defending against these days

Yep. The same Mosley that knocked out Mayorga, tko'd Vargas (twice) beat Oscar, (twice) and fought Winky, all at 154. He probably felt that he had to neutralize Shane's power. Not to mention the same Shane that pulverized Margarito. Maybe he knew what Shane had in store for him. Plus, if you watch the Shane/Cotto fight, Cotto barely beat Shane. I had the fight a draw. They each won 6 rounds apeice.

cotto was definitely holding his own in that fight... lets not forget that margarito was never known as a devastating KO puncher. he was known for his pressure and great chin. paul williams & clottey was able to handle tony... they never once questioned his punching power via plaster... so we really cant assume when he started loading... i really think cotto running out of gas and not being able to keep tony off of him was the reason he lost.
other than that, cotto fought a great fight.

and cotto's face was battered against clottey & pac too... so its hard to use that as a case for plaster... either way, tony got punished and his reputation is ruined... but i think he is hungry enough to try to come up again... martinez/margarito looks interesting.

good points, mosley was the bigger threat IMO...
cotto/mosley was a toss-up fight... i gave it to shane.
cotto was backpedaling the last rounds... shane didnt pressure like he shouldve, but i still had him up.

I agree with you that Martinez isn't ducking anyone, but he got as much as he gave against Williams. Pwill is fighting Cintron because no one else wants to fight him. Pwill has been calling out guys for the past 3-4 years but no one wants to fight. Surely you're not suggesting he's picked Cintron because it's an easy fight He and Martinez are the only one's with the balls to step up to the plate.

I got my little bit of money on Pwill against your little bit of money, if there is a rematch.
