It seems to me that floyd never get's credits for his wins because he's always the betting fav(and pure hatred), so can anyone think of some fighters that would be the betting favorite against him.

At Station Casino here in Vegas, Pac is a -160 favorite over Floyd. Of course that bet assumes they'll fight in 2010. But honestly, I'd favor no one over Floyd at 147. At 160, maybe 154, PWill and Martinez would be favored.

from what i remember hearing floyd was the betting fav going into that fight with pac, i think williams would be if he goes on to beat,cintron then martinez in impressive fashion.

Until Mosley puts a Slapping on him and exposes him, FLoyd will then be the underdog, then Paul WIlliams will get to outbox Floyd, then Pac will KO him---THen Lil Floyd becomes humble in his losses. He says GOd has a plan for him, well the plan is for him to lose and become more classy, instead of being so ****** trashy. Its about time Floyd learns that acting all street tough ****** is out of style.

I think Pacquiao at this point would be the favorite over Floyd. Maybe Paul Williams if he beats Martinez and fought Floyd at 154.

Pac started off the fav after he beat Cotto. When it looked like the fight was actually going to happen, Mayweather became the favorite. Mayweather probably still is the favorite at many places, but at Station Casino, he's a +145 underdog. And your right, Paul could start out as a favorite over Mayweather, but he isn't that known, at a lot of money coming on Mayweather could change that.

Really? They have Pacquiao the favourite? I'm a massive Pacquiao fan but I would guess that most people would give Mayweather the betting edge. He's naturally bigger and has better boxing skills.

Don't get me wrong, Pacquiao has tremendous strengths that would give him a good chance in the fight. Phenomenal speed, power and stamina/workrate. Everyone knows his strengths, but you've gotta give the bigger, more skilled guy the edge.

Mayweather is slightly older but has been hit far less in his career. To be honest, neither has shown any signs of deterioration yet, so that's not a factor. But it could start to be over the next few years, which is why this ****in fight needs to happen soon. No excuses.

To the thread starter, Mayweather has to be the betting favourite against anybody and yes, I think you're right in that he unfairly gets less credit for victories than Pacquiao does. Mayweather beat Hatton and De La Hoya FIRST remember. Also, Mayweather tends to make it look easier by not getting in to wars. People love to hype up punchers as unstoppable monsters i.e. Tyson. But Mayweather is as close to unbeatable as you can get at the moment. The sad fact is that people rate offense way above defense when in fact they're equally as important. He hasn't looked close to losing in a long time and comes away from fights with barely a scratch, leaving people to complain more about how the opponent was bad. And this is a little unfair.

I don't like Mayweather as a person but as a boxer he's close to perfection. So I make him the favourite against any guy right now, in and around his weight class.
