He certainly didn't want to fight Shane. Remember, he's being FORCED to fight Shane. He got in trouble with the IRS, so he fought Marquez. He thought that he could fight Pacquiao (who is a better and more money-generating fight), but for some reason Mayweather made it difficult for Packie to accept it. Maybe Pacquiao didn't want to spend 5 1/2 hours a day 3 out of 10 days trying to test himself for USADA. So obviously Mayweather doesn't want to lose all his **** and livelihood to the IRs, so he's gotta go to work somehow.
