How about Williams vs Pavlik, Winner gets rematch with Sergio

I mean is a good fight first of all. Second it will prove either guys worth.

Martinez won his fight with Williams in my eyes and many peoples eyes too, he beat Pavlik. Since Pavlik just fought him, let Sergio have a optional title defense against Margo or Cotto and then get the winner of Williams-Pavlik in a rematch.

Im all for Williams vs Pavlik it will be a excitng fight and it will prove like I said, who really deserves to fight Sergio again.

    What you guys think?

I like it just because I wanna see the slugfest that Pavlik/Williams would undoubtedly be.

But, in fall fairness, Williams has already earned his shot at Martinez's crown. Williams shouldn't have to beat Pavlik to get Martinez.

But I would love to see it, that's for sure.

I would very much like to see this because i'd rather see Pavlik vs. Williams then Martinez fight either one of the two for a second time because Pavlik and Williams have unfinished business... A fight that was signed twice and didn't happen twice, the build up for it has been taking place for almost a year now... then the winner to fight Martinez...

It's a money fight thats for sure and if they could get Pavlik to somehow agree to giving up the rematch or putting it on the line, but the problem is how long does pavlik need to recover and how long will williams need after his fight and what will sergio do in the mean time? Which is fine because he should go after those other two belts.

I just don't think Kelly's people will put him in there with Paul.

Especially after what Martinez did to him.

Its a much better style match up for him as he should have no problem hitting Paul who will be right in front of him the whole fight and if he were to win, its a great way to restore credibility.

An entirely different beast altogether. I'm sure they knew Martinez was a much harder fight style wise than paul would be. Kelly needs someone to sit there and fight with.. and Williams has been floored by much lesser punches than pavlik.

Last thing kelly needs is a guy to give him angles and keep him turning. Not saying he wins the williams fight, but it's a much easiar fight than a mover is for him.

Also - I predict martinez to fight williams though asap if the rematch doesn't go through with pavlik. REason being, he'd want to take the risk of losing one of those titles before the other is stripped and he's belt less.

I'd assume his team would rather him be at 154 anyhow - that's where the money is. Kirkland will return, henry climbing the ranks, margarito returned, clottey moving up, Cintron is still there, Angulo's team would put big funds up to see him fight for a title, Julio's stock would rise largely if he were to beat Angulo, Foreman is a pretty decent payday and if Cotto were to beat foreman, a unification bout against Cotto would be HUGE.

Not to mention, if the last scenerio were to take place and he won, he then would have a name large enough to bargain a fight with the likes of pbf or pacman (doubt they'd ever take, but he'd atleast a name large enough to make such challenges).

154 is where the money is.
