Whether he belonged there or not its not relevant. He doesnt get a freebie because he wants to move up in weight. You lose you drop down. He doesnt get a free pass.

Because had he won he wouldve been ranked number 1.

More because he was pretty much completely outclassed, and I have a feeling his plans from here on out are to wind his career down so we may not see him in another real significant fight again (not to knock on Marquez v Diaz which should be a fun fight - but it's not what I'd consider an important match-up).

The one I'm a bit hesitant on is Hozumi Hasegawa. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching him fight and have a lot of his fights. And while he's on a pretty damn good run at the moment, he's been getting knockouts over decent competition. The last top bantamweight he fought was the 2005 version of Veeraphol Sahaprom, who had started to show his age (it was a great victory though, when you consider the circumstances going into the fight). He hasn't beaten elite bantamweights like Moreno, Perez, Cermeno, Agbeko, etc. IMO, he's right on the cusp and a win over Montiel could get him in there.

That's just my two cents, please don't take this as bashing your list.
Ha not at all. I think I put more emphasis into talent/hypothetical match-ups than a lot of people do with my P4P lists, and that's obviously a more subjective area, so that may be factor.

For me, it's about talent/potential and resume. I rate Dawson highly because of his talent despite his resume having four wins over old fighters. Though, that's really out of his control. When he won those fights, they were ranked ahead of him and LHW is a senior citizens center. Plus, the two rematches were due to a rematch clause and a rematch many people called for.

Ultimately, it's a matter of opinion, getting two lists exactly the same is a rarity.

It's fuckin ****** to have Martinez ranked over Williams despite the fact being close. Just like Martinez had a size advantage over Pavlik, Martinez weighed in at 159 and Williams weighed in at 157. So you know Williams didn't have any big size advantage going into that fight. You don't know how to be objective at all. Does this mean I should've ranked Mosley over Cotto P4P until Mosley's fight with Margarito just because I thought he beat Cotto?

Something else you need to take into consideration is that Martinez has a TKO loss to Margarito and Williams beat him convincingly even though the fights took place at far apart time frames. Your P4P list is more ******ed than the Ring's and that's saying something.
