Kirk has this amazing combination of speed and power. Yet he can't seem t get in shape. Tonight he won a TD over Diaz after dropping him a few times. But he stills looks badly out of shape. Not as bad as when he fought VK but bad. I wonder if he was to get into good shape could he be beaten? I have always wanted to se him in there with Bryd.

Technical decision. When the fight goes to the score cards after 4 rounds because of cuts from head butts. No the fight was not on TV. for some reason they showed tann instead of Kirk. I am glad they showed the Tann fight instead of Johnson.
Tann is big and strong, but if the guy he was fighting did not use ten rounds of energy in the first three rounds, he really would have given Tann a run for his money in the second half of the fight. That performance does not give me hope if he were to fight a fringe contender like Barett or McCline.
I tried so hard to stay awake during the Harrison Davis fight, that when the end finally came, I said "thats it" and turned to the basketball game and quickly fell asleep.Comment

He's talented, but nothing but a lazy-ass slob.

Kirk Johnson is a bum. The guy had the opportunity of a lifetime in his fight with Klit. I could forgive him losing the fight if he trained hard and give it his all in the ring, there's no shame in that.
But this was the biggest fight of his life and the guy came into the ring grossly overweight and out of shape.
Most guys would kill to be in the position he was in and he threw it all away.
I have no respect for someone like that, he's garbage.Comment
