He was obviously a very troubled man with some severe mental issues.
He murdered an innocent woman which is unforgivable but his country's government which he showed such blind loyalty towards definitely failed him.
A man with such OBVIOUS issues needs OBVIOUS HELP.
The guys Badass Reputation probably scared off more people that would have helped him than he ever knew.
Its Tragic because an innocent life is lost, A potentially great fighter is lost but most importantly because a couple of children have lost BOTH of their parents now.
I for one wont pass judgment on the Man because I WAS a fan but He sure as **** will be judged by somebody more powerful and relevant than me.

I for one will MISS Edwin Valero THE FIGHTER its just unfortunate that Edwin Valero THE PERSON wont be because of his actions and deservedly so.

My opinion on the matter is that first, people in the forum who are talking mad ****t, need to just be quiet and stop being ignorant, it's obvious none of us support what he did to himself or wife, but do ya'll really need to go there to disrespect him after he's dead?, Do ya'll know about the demons that were proably tormenting the guy? he obviously knew something wasn't right because he was trying to admit himself in a rehab center, if the officials and medics in Venezuela knew he was a borderline psychiatric patient it was their fault for this whole situation, instead of getting him the help he wanted and strongly NEEDED, they handled the matter lightly and look at the outcome, a young mother dead and a aspiring future boxing star dead...the guy was already asking for help, they weren't taking him serious, and thats the real tragedy.

Edwin Valero was, a piece of **** and is going straight to hell. It boggles my mind that people are honoring and shouting out a man who committed a heinous crime. He killed his wife, the mother of his Children, and then took the cowards way out of suicide. Now his Children have to live with the fact that their Father was a murder and killed their Mom. Imagine having to grow up with that type of emotional baggage. F.u.c.k his boxing career, and his memory. The only people I'm praying for is the unfortunate kids. God Bless them.

The fans on boxing scene are freakin ******ed.

All of you guys that are saying he was going to get ****d are out of your damn minds. He was an undefeated boxing champion in one of the hardest divisions in boxing today. All wins coming by way of knockout. No body was going to physically harm him. You guys have no idea what was going on at the time he killed his wife. You are all hitting the keyboards with furry, you all just want someone to hate. It was a tragic end, leave it at that. This man was a heavy drinker with deep seeded issues, issues that you all wouldn't comprehend. your all a bunch of boxing douche bags disrespecting the dead. You guys don't know all the facts, you don't know exactly what happened. This story is not even twenty hours old. I don't know why he did what he did. So I'm not bashing the guy, he was an excellent boxer and it is a very sad day in boxing. Leave it at that.

....man, poor woman, poor kids, poor family and even if you all don't agree, poor Valero... we gotta understand that clearly this guy was WAY more troubled then we thought to be, being as he was able to not only kill his wife (which i still wonder why the hell he did!!) but to kill himself as well leaving his kids parentless.. and in NO WAY am i trying to justify or say we should forgive him. It's just really sad to think of a life that seemed to have a bright future ahead, to an abrupt and horrible ending...
