I have seen tapes of Sugar Ray he was a great fighter .

My biggest gripe against him was the fight with Marvin Hagler . Running around and getting beat for 2 minutes and 30 seconds then coming alive and stealing the round for the last 30 seconds is cheap to me . Just because he was a fan favorite and everybody loved him

hes got no power, every good fighter he fought gave him a beating, he relied on referees to give him bs TKO wins, he was excruciatingly inactive for so long periods of time, he wouldnt give hagler a rematch, he cheated his camp members out of their money, he was a sell-out, he retired 5 times, and he was a coke addict. the real question is: whats THERE to like about him?

Sugar Ray Leonard relied on his combination punching to hurt his opponents...and it did indeed.
