It is when thats your belt and its in the contract.
And if Martinez believes he'll win the rematch, he'll be happy to take the rematch since its just another big pay-day for him.Comment

competitive? i disagree. in rounds 5-8, pavlik only started to read martinez better and improved his defense, but in terms of offense, pavlik still couldn't figure out a way to catch him clean. and when martinez changed up his gameplan and turned into the aggressor, pavlik couldn't adjust. the majority of the fight was one sided.Comment

Well stats say Pavlik was landing more his shots were more powerful too lets be real alot of Martinez shots were flashy ones + he is a small MW. Martinez sudden change up in gameplan and aggression happened around the time of the cut no? i mean cuts is part of boxing and it was a legit punchcompetitive? i disagree. in rounds 5-8, pavlik only started to read martinez better and improved his defense, but in terms of offense, pavlik still couldn't figure out a way to catch him clean. and when martinez changed up his gameplan and turned into the aggressor, pavlik couldn't adjust. the majority of the fight was one sided.
But if Pavlik doesn't get cut and it goes down to the last 4 rounds its a toss up imo cause before the ninth it was very close. Im interested in the rematch for sure though as i'd like to see Pavlik/Williams which is unlikely to happen unless Pavlik beats Martinez.Comment

It's not unreasonable to think Pavlik could win a rematch. I'd absolutely be interested, compelling middleweight fights don't exactly happen very often.Comment
