Here's my beef with Bute fans. They run their mouths all the time about how he would beat this guy and that guy when he's got nothing to show for it. How can you say that he could beat Froch when Froch has already beaten a guy who some people even favor to beat Chad Dawson? It doesn't make any sense. I realize there are some good posters on here who are fans of Bute, but I'm putting the ones who aren't good posters on the spot with this thread.

Another thing too, sure it's not really his fault that he is the odd man left out, but if that's the case why don't he express interest in fighting Chad Dawson at 175 instead of calling out Bernard Hopkins? None of his fans hold him accountable for that.

Hopkins is a bigger name right now than Dawson IMO. Right now Hopkins looks unbeatable (so does Dawson) but B-Hop generates much more publicity and probably more $$ than Chad. Plus, Hopkins is a future hall of famer while Dawson may be, but that's not a foregone conclusion.

Also, if Bute loses to Hopkins- it's not a big deal b/c, like I already mentioned, he's a future HOF'er and he's not gonna be around in another 3-4 years; Dawson will be...

I know Hopkins is calling him out, but if he wants any respect from anybody then he needs to fight the winner of Pascal-Dawson and tell Hopkins to get lost. But he is obliging with Hopkins because he knows he looked like **** against Roy Jones.

They are the biggest fleas I've come across on BoxingScene. Let's see him fight an elite fighter outside of his comfort zone instead of the comfy confines of Canada. I notice that everytime that Bute is in danger or against the ropes the biased ref gets in between him and the other guy. Miranda was at one point beating on him against the ropes and then the ref broke up the action. He's a mediocre fighter who benefits from home cooking.

I don't have any strong feelings about Bute one way on another, but calling him a mediocre fighter is absurd. Except for the end of the first Andrade fight he has dominated, and his last two wins were sensational. But I would agree that to reach the next level he'll have to fight in the US like Calzaghe did.
