I never said anything about incidents in Venezuela nor did I mention a promoters name. I might have quoted someone who did, but that's it! Just want to make that clear.

It's cool, and my reply wasn't meant as a flame towards you, just a view I had on things...that's all.

I mean he was on his way to getting help but after that car accident, instead of forcing him to go still, they let him go back to his wife. No restrainer order or nothing. I'm not surprised though because I heard it's corrupt down there, so IMO the legal system in Venezuela really failed him.

It almost reminds me of the Gatti situation when the powers that be cover things up and hide facts. If they do that you really cant say much because any proof you have is lost/hidden....and this is why I can't blame any promoters/managers etc. They can say he did this or that but without any proof all they can go off of is what they assumed happened.

BTW I speaking in general to everyone on this board, and not you in particular.

OK, a star has fallen, heīs an idiot and he needed rehab but his wife also had blame, she was still with him even though she knew it wasnīt good for her!!! Latinas have a terrible self-respect problem. I am a Latino and know it, especially the ones that come from a low-class neighborhood. Mexican girls get beat up and they donīt file charges and still cry for their men. Some even let their husbands abuse their daughters!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...so that leaves no doubt anymore that he did it. To me that's a hard blow for boxing. Let's forget Valero outside the ring for the moment and remember him inside. An exciting fighter who was on the cusp of becoming something big. So much potential. I always said if he could hook up with Roach, he could very well be the next Manny Pacquiao. All is gone now. So sad for his wife and kid.

Um no let's not forget about his life outside of the ring for a second. A woman has died. What he could have offered in the ring and what he did offer is nothing in comparison.

Do you think Latinas are the only women that get beat up by the husband? That is the most ****** remark I have read in a long time. Go visit a shelter for women of domestic violence, you will see all different kind of races in there. Women of all coutries are abused by a spouse. That has nothing to do with self respect, it has to do with control and intimidation. Do you think women that are abuse get slapped around on the first date, that the man is going to hit her bc he figured she has low self respect at the beggining of the relationship? Abusers take their time to start showing their true colors, they will have women believe that their families are against him bc they don't want them together and so on until women aere vulnerable enough to believe the bull ****.
