I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with saying you are the best and you are going to beat your opponent easily. Lucian Bute said the same thing tonight. If you don't believe that, you should not get in the ring.
I agree with you but every fighter is suppose to believe he is the best and is gonna win when getting in the ring, otherwise that little fear in the back of his head will overtake him.....and yea Ali was much more hated but faced the best and beat the best and there was never a dull moment

stop comaparing floyd with ali or even tyson as being hated. ali was well loved by majority of boxing fans. there may be some that hated him but not the same number of people that hate floyd. tyson's character is something that is not admirable but the he was a very exciting and entertaining as a fighter and he always deliver on his promise. floyd speak his mind in an arrogant way but his performance does not always match his bravado outside the ring that's why he's hated.

I don't understand whats wrong with that. He put in alot of hard work to get to the top. You have to respect his confidence. You don't have to agree with it. He said tonight on 24/7 that there will be a stick up on may 1st. That he is stealing money and it's like a bank robbery. All he is saying is that beating these so called great champions is easy money. Easy work. Read in between the lines people. He feels like may 1st is just another easy pay day because Mosley is just not on his level.
first of all, mayweather is nothing compared to even Tyson or Ali. The only reason he even comes close to Tyson's PPV buys is because he's in an age 20 years ahead of Tyson where TV's and PPV's and advertisement and computers and all that are far more ubiquitous so it's far easier to get more PPV buys.

Tyson and Ali both could travel to any country in the world and be recognized like Gods, like Michael Jackson. I saw videos of Tyson in England, in Russia and there would be crowds of tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands. Floyd doesn't get that type of crowd even in Grand Rapids let alone anywhere else in the U.S. let alone the world. No one in the rest of the world on the street even knows or cares who Floyd is. He is NOTHING compared to Tyson or Ali.

Floyd probably has 50-100 million at the most in his bank. Tyson made upwards of 300-600$ million in his life time and I'm pretty sure even Holyfield made far more than Floyd. Floyd really isn't all that he claims he is. Even DLH has made hundreds of millions more than Floyd.
****, Bruce Buffer has made tons more than Floyd. Bruce is sitting on $500 mil.

Thus..please don't compare Floyd to Ali or Tyson, not even in the hated category. Because Ali and Tyson were GLOBAL. Mayweather is barely known even in the U.S. and sells only because the fans of his opponents want to see him get KTFO so badly.

I never remember Tyson really being "hated" but Ali on the other hand was really hated because of his political stance as well as racism but he did back up everything he said

every day on this forum, a thread is made by a floyd fan crying about him not being liked or asking why he's hated. I've never seen that from any other group of fans.

Floyd throws money at the camera, acts like a child, says **** like, "All of my **** is paid for, is yours?", then a groupie will make a thread asking why Floyd is hated and begin it with "You don't know the real Floyd".

Again, does Floyd have the most sensitive fans in the world?

well stated....Tyson also fought 20 yrs ago and if Tysons hype was at its highest right now he would be making twice as much as floyd and selling double the PPV numbers
