Bute is not that good, and that's why Hopkins wants to fight him. Defense can't be found in this guy's vocabulary. Every jab, body punch, and power punch that Miranda threw hit the mark pretty much and he was actually doing good until he got caught. Pavlik dominated Miranda from bell to finish and so did Ward.

On FNF he said Bute was a good name opponent as well as Dawson.

Bute definitely brings more money than Dawson at this point. He sold out Montreal's Bell Center (15000+) in 24 hours. Dawson can barely get 5000 fans in his hometown arena.

Bute-Hopkins could probably sell 30k+ tickets at the olympic stadium in Montreal. Hopkins won't find that kind of attraction with any other fighter available to him at this point.

Bute is a much bigger attraction than Hopkins himself.

I agree totally. But Hopkins is a bigger name for TV. The combination would bring HBO on board and bring the fans out in Montreal like never before. If Bute-Miranda can sell out Bell Center in a day, Bute-Hopkins could do MAJOR gate in Montreal because of all the fans wanting to see their homeboy defeat a legend.

Bute's defense is good enough, you're just a hater, everytime I read you, you're bashing and criticizing fighters, never anything positive to say about them. There is room for improvement, but to say defense is not part of his vocabulary is plain ignorance, or hatred, or both.

Man, **** the belts, Stieglitz had been knocked out by 2 guys that Lucian Bute knocked out himself, Berrio and Andrade. Would you rather want a unification, of which he can easily win, rather than be faced with a more serious test in Hopkins? That **** is fanboyism.

Still, fans who know where B-Hop is at in his career don't really want to see that fight. Hopkins would make it very ugly. No way he can beat Bute at this point. I really don't want to see that fight happen. Hopkins is finished. But it would definitely sell. Bute can sell fighting anybody in the world. He has that kind of following.

So what ? Stieglitz has had a couple of good wins since losing to Andrade. There is a strong possibility Stieglitz would actually make it a tougher fight fro Bute than Andrade 2 and Miranda did, because he has superior boxing skills. And he is a titlist. Hopkins is finished and shouldn't get a fight with Bute after the embarrassement of the Jones fight.

Pascal is fighting Dawson August 14th in Montreal. Make it a doubleheader with Bute-Hopkins at the Olympic Stadium (around 52 000 seats I think...) and make the winners fight each other.
